According to data from the China Construction Machinery Association, China’s construction machinery exports reached USD 34.373 billion in the first half of the year, representing a year on year increase of 21.7%. Sales of Chinese made construction machinery saw growth across the European Union, ASEAN, as well as countries and regions under the Belt and Road Initiative. Exports to the EU stood at USD 3.626 billion, up 28.9% year on year; exports to ASEAN hit USD 5.561 billion, a 23.6% year on year rise. Total exports to Belt and Road countries and regions amounted to USD 14.723 billion, growing by 9.13% year on year. Africa recorded the most robust growth, with exports reaching USD 4.869 billion and surging 51.7% year on year.
